Mainstream, a leading privately-owned freight and logistics company in New Zealand, has chosen Datapay as its new payroll solution. This decision to switch came as its current payroll system is nearing end of life.

Known for its comprehensive logistics services, Mainstream prides itself on delivering efficient and reliable solutions to its clients. The company sought a payroll system that could match its high standards of service and operational excellence.

"One of the key reasons we selected Datapay is its date-driven system," said Dave Eagleton, Payroll Manager at Mainstream. "This feature allows  us to schedule and automate future payroll changes, such as child support notices, without the need for constant manual intervention. Previously, we had to wait until the current pay cycle was closed before implementing new requests, often resulting in a backlog of paperwork and file notes."

Datapay places huge importance on placing customers and end users at the forefront when undertaking functional improvements, said Ross Fodie, General Manager Sales I Datapay & Core Platforms ANZ at Datacom.

“Date driven capability is a great example, providing significant savings in time and processing.”

Datapay's cloud-based enterprise payroll platform - which is capable of compliant calculations with New Zealand legislation such as the New Zealand Holidays Act  - was another critical factor in Mainstream's decision. The system automatically updates any legislative and tax changes, eliminating the need for customers to manually install support packs and conduct testing. This feature represents a significant time-saving advantage for Mainstream.

In addition to Datapay, Mainstream will implement iDt’s biotime, a New Zealand-based time and attendance solution. This system offers clock-in/clock-out capabilities and integrates seamlessly with Datapay. The integration will streamline processes for staff, from accurate time and attendance tracking, including facial recognition, to efficient payroll processing.

Mainstream's adoption of Datapay and biotime underscores its commitment to leveraging advanced technology to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with local regulations.
