Datacom has been named as the exclusive technology partner for the Taituarā Principal Partners programme, joining five other organisations dedicated to supporting the local government sector.
Datacom is Australasia's largest homegrown tech company, bringing together a broad range of technology, insight and expertise to deliver innovative and sustainable technology solutions to corporate and government customers throughout New Zealand and Australia.
Datacom’s Datascape solution is a modern cloud-based software suite, purpose-built for local government and designed to empower councils with the tools they need to streamline their operations, drive efficiency and enhance service delivery. Over 75% of councils in New Zealand currently use Datascape, and adoption in Australia is ramping up.
Datacom joins Taituarā established partners, Simpson Grierson, PwC, Civic Financial Services, and Marsh, and Beca, announced as a partner earlier this year. These partners share a commitment to excellence, fostering local government expertise, and empowering professionals within the sector.
This exclusive partnership brings together a comprehensive suite of services, covering legal, finance, risk, consulting, engineering, infrastructure, and now technology. By combining their strengths, Taituarā and its Principal Partners provide the local government sector with a powerful platform to address their most complex challenges and achieve their strategic goals.
This partnership will allow Datacom to use its experience in bringing innovative technology-based solutions to local government to support even more councils and their communities across New Zealand and Australia. By collaborating with Taituarā and its Principal Partners, Datacom will collaborate and gain valuable insight into local government operations, helping councils to optimise their processes, improve service delivery, and better manage their digital assets. This collaboration will also enable Datacom to contribute to the development of configured solutions that address the specific needs and challenges faced by local government, reinforcing their commitment to driving digital transformation and operational excellence in the sector.
“We are excited to partner with Taituarā as their exclusive technology partner,” says Peter Nelson, Datacom’s Managing Director, SaaS Products.
“This collaboration represents a significant step forward in our commitment to the local government sector. The partnership and our combined expertise will help drive innovative solutions that empower councils to connect with their community, enhance service delivery and deliver operational efficiencies. We look forward to achieving positive outcomes that will benefit communities across New Zealand.”
Suzanne Boyd, Taituarā Chief Executive said that Datacom is well-established in the local government sector and has a strong solution-focused reputation.
“They are long-term supporters of Taituarā, and we are delighted to formalise this partnership.”
Datacom will be the only technology firm in the Principal Partnership programme and completes the Taituarā suite of six firms covering legal, finance, risk, consulting, and engineering and infrastructure.
