Datacom has been named a Workday Services Partner, becoming one of only four local partners able to support implementation of Workday’s enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources in New Zealand.

As a Workday Services Partner, Datacom will help customers deploy Workday Financial Management, Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), and Workday Adaptive Planning, supporting a full range of financial and people-based processes, providing real-time operational visibility and enabling businesses to be agile and rapidly adapt to growth and change.

“We are very excited to have become one of the select few Workday implementation consulting partners in New Zealand,” says Dave Payne, Associate Director Core Platforms, Datacom. “The ability to deploy Workday is a real advantage for our customers because, unlike ERP systems with disparate applications, Workday brings best-in-class finance and HR applications into one powerful system. It also has an intelligent data core that connects your financial data with your people data, providing the insights and agility that allow businesses to make the right decisions with confidence.”

"Datacom is very excited to have become one of the select few Workday implementation consulting partners in New Zealand,” says Dave Payne.

“Datacom has always invested in technology that enables our customers and their businesses to thrive, and ultimately to serve our communities. We select our technology partners carefully and ensure we can deliver services from these platforms that meet the unique needs of our customers and are a good fit with the New Zealand ecosystem. One in six New Zealanders are paid through Datacom’s core financial services and we are committed to finding the best ways to serve them, now and in the future.”

“This partnership builds on an existing and trusted long-term relationship already established with Datacom as a Workday Global Payroll Cloud Partner,” said Jo Anne Ruhl, managing director and vice president, Workday Australia and New Zealand. “ The partnership will enable us to grow our footprint in New Zealand, bringing best of breed software and services to New Zealand based companies.”

Workday provides a core platform that, with Datacom’s support and implementation knowledge, can help optimise processes, plans and profit and improve outcomes for businesses and their people. Additionally, Datacom has been an accredited Global Payroll Partner to Workday since 2021 and has deployed an integrated payroll and HRIS solution to several central government, government agencies, and multi-national organisations in New Zealand. Datacom is also a trusted and respected technology partner to New Zealand’s Inland Revenue Department (IRD), the public service department charged with collecting tax, and collecting and disbursing payments for social support programmes.

Adding Workday to Datacom’s portfolio of services creates a partnership between a trusted global core business platform and New Zealand’s largest delivery partners – Datacom has been providing financial and core business services for nearly 60 years and currently supports more than 2000 customers with a combined workforce of more than 200,000 people.
