Mike Walls has joined Datacom as Associate Director Cloud Transformation with a focus on helping customers adapt and modernise to shape their future success, by leveraging cloud and digital technology, and modern ways of working.
“I’m excited to bring my experience to the table and use it to deliver business value and meaningful changes through new ways of working, and cloud and digital technology. Datacom is obviously a powerhouse of IT services, but it’s the renewed purpose to make a difference by turning the imaginable into reality and the company’s willingness to adapt, that really energises me,” says Walls.
“We are firmly in the 4th industrial revolution – the age of digital. It’s an era enabled by the cloud, providing ubiquitous access to digital technologies that are transforming how we live and work. The ability to harness Datacom’s investment and capabilities in the likes of public cloud, digital engineering, application development, and transformational services really underpins our purpose and is what will help enable our customers to thrive and shape their future.”
Walls brings more than 10 years’ experience in enabling successful cloud adoption and business transformation, including as co-founder and director for cloud transformation at Leaven.
Before co-founding Leaven, Walls spent 10 years working with cloud services company Revera. After successfully leading out Revera’s bid to become a preferred supplier of infrastructure-as-a-service to All-of-Government, Walls went on to fulfil the roles of CTO and Head of Portfolio & Professional Services through multiple years of double-digit growth.
His career has also spanned several senior project management roles leading complex business change programmes, including roles with the Youth Justice Board and Ministry of Justice in the UK.
This is not Walls first role with Datacom – he began his career in tech with Datacom providing desktop and server support, before becoming National Operations Team Leader in 2001.
