As technology continues to reshape industries and societies, the need for trusted technology partners is stronger than ever. Datacom has always worked at the forefront of these changes and new technologies, helping private and public sector organisations across Australasia to navigate the changes and ultimately to adapt, grow and succeed.

Today, with the increasing adoption of technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, Datacom’s role is evolving, and the responsibility the organisation holds to its customers, and to the communities and countries it operates in, has never been greater.

Over the course of this year, Datacom has undertaken a range of work to ensure it is in a strong position to provide the advice, technical expertise, products and services that its customers need, in the way they need, and respond to and anticipate the changing needs of the market.

In 2025, Datacom will mark 60 years since it began as a two-person company offering shared computer services from a single office. Milestones like this are rare, and the majority of organisations never reach them. Still fewer turn into a company with an expert team of 6100+ working with customers across Australia and New Zealand. The changes that Datacom have made this year recognise that evolution is an important part of growth for any business, and it is how Datacom has grown into one of Australasia’s largest homegrown technology companies.

Alongside the changes being made, it is important to hold on to the values and attributes that sit at the core of Datacom. From its earliest days, Datacom has focused on solving challenges for businesses and government to enable them to succeed and find new and better ways to serve their customers and communities.

Datacom’s work has always been grounded in understanding what its customers need to achieve and then delivering. This practical, customer-first approach has built not just long-term relationships, but also a level of trust that is a cornerstone of the business.

The trust Datacom’s customers place in the organisation is not something taken lightly. It has been earned through years of delivering on promises to customers, acting with integrity and being there for partners when they need it.

For Datacom, maintaining this social license is about more than meeting business goals. It is about the whole team living the organisations’ values every day – in the way they collaborate with colleagues and partners and how we deliver results for our customers.
