AirTrunk SYD1 is the largest data centre in New South Wales (by MW capacity), and our colocation suite there is part of Datacom's trans-Tasman interconnected data centre network that spans Datacom’s two Australian locations and our four New Zealand data centres.

AirTrunk SYD1 is designed for highly efficient use of power, with an industry-leading design PUE of 1.15.

At AirTrunk SYD1, IT power is provided via 2N supply to the site from diverse grid feeds. On-site protection is provided by 2N generators and 2N overhead outlets to customer racks. Mechanical services are supported by 2N grid supply and N+1 generators for all mechanical loads enabling fault tolerance and concurrent maintainability.

AirTrunk SYD1 is universally protected in case of fire with a VESDA aspirating smoke detection system. A ProInert gas flood fire suppression system is deployed throughout the data floors. Direct alarm connections with the local fire brigade are also in place.
