The 2021 IDC InfoBrief: New Zealand State of Agility report shares key insights from hundreds of New Zealand senior and mid-level management across commercial and public sector organisations.
Sponsored by Datacom, the IDC InfoBrief outlines the concept of digital agility and its importance to New Zealand organisations’ future success. IDC InfoBrief is split into two reports, with one focusing on insights for the public sector and one focused on opportunities and challenges faced by the private sector.
All organisations surveyed are optimistic about the future, with the public sector citing their priorities to be focused on becoming a digital or data-driven intelligent enterprise, improving customer experience, and working towards higher living standards for New Zealanders. Similarly, the private sector focuses on improving operational efficiencies, customer experience and agility.
Of those surveyed, 57% of public sector organisations and 66% of private sector organisations said agility is extremely or very important to their future success.
The success for all organisations in achieving their priorities will be driven by their ability to innovate and to adapt to change. Today, agility has become a highly sustainable competitive advantage.
The findings reveal how and where digitally-enabled agility can provide a critical market advantage to New Zealand organisations.
